Welcome all to this W.T.F Wednesday movie review on Tekken 2: Kazuya’s Revenge. It is funny how someone has revenge in a story that is before the first tekken movie. That is right this is a prequel with a sequel title. So, it starts off already confusing, but it gets even worse. However I have done a video to point out some key factors that most of you already knew about.
There is nothing more to me to say, but I rather give out a solution to this problem that some writers and directors seem to not understand. Just follow the original material from the games and you will have a great movie. This whole attempt at making the stories more realistic is a slap in the face for the fans of both video games and martial arts cinema. You have up to 6 games to follow a proper storyline, hell even the animated movie did a better job than the live action and that is saying a lot. You get kudos for keeping the cast Asian, but that story was just weak.
In my opinion there are only a few good fighting game movies out there and I would suggest checking those out. In the end Tekken 2: Kazuya’s Revenge gets -1 out 5. I want to hear your thoughts on the worst video game movie you’ve ever seen and for those that saw Tekken 2, what did you think? Stay frosty!
