I would like to give a special shout out to my gamer buddies at Elite Girl Gamers, Elly Honda, Shady, Bluerave, Surfjafo, Darealwordsound, AegisofDoom, Shae Lunaz, fans of KKEnt for their feedback and certain people that wish to remain nameless. This started because of certain articles on how female characters are mistreated unfairly or shown in a sexist way, but the whole premise on this subject is not only one sided, but contradicting. What most of us already know that what happens to characters in games is pretty equal which I thought was the main idea, but now it seems to be a problem for a selected few. On another note, the ideals of Gamergate and what they do to females that speak out is disgusting and that needs to stop. People all have opinions and they should not be attacked mentally or physically. In that please enjoy our latest vlog below.
“The point of feminism is to show that men and women can be equals in all fields. By wanting a ‘different platform’ for women, that is stating that women and men are not in fact equals. This is more misogynistic than feminist.” – Shae Lunaz
It was thanks to Dr. Nikki of Elite Girl Gamers that showed a lot of us that we can co-exist and have a great time in video games. Her introducing the “Battle of the Sexes” in Call of Duty was a great idea for all to have a great night and no one got emotional about it. There was Husbands vs. Wives, boyfriend vs. girlfriends, sisters vs. brothers and pretty friend against friend. It was fun and we all congratulated one another afterwards with some playful trash talk in between. It all is possible in that moment each weekend and in that you get the idea it is possible.
In the end, let’s stop giving fools power and just have true equality between one another. There are a lot of us that are enjoying each other’s company and it should stay that way. Let’s let our skills do the talking and keep the trash talk amusing and friendly. No need for threats and no need to physically/emotionally harm someone because their views differ from yours. Special shout out to my team and all of our supporters. Stay frosty gamers!
