The Crew of KKEnt
Name: Kuma Unique Baity
Status: Samurai Occupation: Multi-Media Savant which means I review/preview all entertainment mediums from video games, comic books, and movies.
Quote: “Life is just one big illustration. You give me an idea and I will turn it into a legacy”
Origin: Born and raised in Brownsville of Brooklyn NY and currently living in ENY Brooklyn closer to queens. I was a “unique” child hence why my mother gave me the middle name. My mother always stated that I was a combination of her brothers in the talents I acquired through the years. My uncle Bentley is the tech guy, Uncle Dexter the script writer, Uncle Austin his drawing ability and my Uncle Gregory with his good heart. It is a good and back thing because I am considered a “Jack of all trades”. That can cause a lot of stalling when it comes to what I wanted to do in life. I went to art school to start off as a comic book artist, started getting heavy into video games and writing. The first site I wrote for was PSPnation which was just a community for PSP players to come together and have social interaction. I believe a year later I was recruited to write for Gameflavor.com; this is where I really took off on my writing getting nice hits for my Prototype Review. Later on I teamed up with my friends at Bifuteki.com. After a while I started listening to my gut instincts and branched out on my own here at Kuma Kreations Entertainment, thanks to my supporter and mentor Jason Rosenberg.
Expectations: What I expect is to become notice and share my thoughts with you all, because as we all know the geek world is expanding to a positive area. We are getting more noticed than ever before and many of us share the same ideas. I just want to bring that all together with the content I research for and the experiences I have through the tech world. So far I am a solo act, but hoping to get a good team together to post their own ideas, however I am having a great time either way. I appreciate the fans I gained, the hits I have been getting and of course the support from people that believe in my abilities. I thank you all for reading my story and please enjoy the content, as well as share your thoughts. I am kuma and looking forward to bringing you the content that you desire.
If you are willing to give us a shot, I will give you the same chance. If you would like to get a hold of me for events or promotional reviews, please feel free to contact me on the information below. I thank you again.
Occupation: Social Media Manager – (I manage social media networking for local businesses)
Quote: “All right, I’ve been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man whose gonna burn your house down – with the lemons!” (Portal 2)
Born into a sheltered family, all raised to stick with what was known and never take an unnecessary risk, I knew from the beginning that I was destined for more. After many years of rebellion and always taking the unorthodox path I embarked on my solo mission for greatness at the age of 14. Since then, I have wandered many paths, pursued many dreams and encountered many obstacles, even defeated a few villains and big, bad bosses. Acquired an Associate’s in Business Administration from the local college, but the Parental figures weren’t too pleased. So, I put myself through Nursing school to make them happy. School itself wasn’t horrible, rather enjoyable, and I finished with honors. However, upon completion, I realized that all I had obtained was a significant amount of student loan debt and a certificate in a field that I hated. It was at that moment that I decided to stop trying to please everyone else and spend MY life doing the things that make ME happy. One of those things…Gaming. I’ve always loved gaming. I’ve come a long way from blowing into Nintendo cartridges and trading Pokémon on my Gameboy, but I will always cherish those golden days. I play a variety of games on multiple consoles, but I have made my home on my PS3. I love Call of Duty and I am currently leading my own COD clan, but I always make time for the many other amazing games in the world. Writing is another one of the things that make me happy. I used to manage the school paper in high school and college. These days I maintain my personal blog and do some freelance writing for local papers. I was recruited here from a FB page that I admin. I am excited and honored to be here, mostly because of the great deal of respect that I possess for Kuma and his work.
Geeks, Nerds, Gamers we’ve all been outcasts for years, decades if you will. We are finally getting recognition and notice and I feel that it is merely just beginning. The force is strong within us all and when we come together and unite for the purpose of staying informed and growing as a whole, everyone benefits. That’s what I expect. I hope to help KKEnt continue to grow, expand, unite and inform the Geeks, Nerds and Gamers of the cyber world.
Age: is but a number
Occupation: QA Engineer to pay the bills, Photographer and Artist to make me smile.
XBL: Kimchee X
Steam: Kimchee X
Quote: “Love and Peace”
Good Day Everyone I am Kimchee X, I am an Artist, Gamer and Thinker. My artistic skills are drawing and photography. The games I like to play are FPS, RPG, MMO, strategy, the occasional platform game and pinball machines whenever I see one, ah also any classical games whenever it is around.
I have had a long standing love hate relationship with video games, but in the end my love for it keeps me playing. My game tag is Kimchee X, catch me on Steam and Xbox 360 with this name, if I ever do get another console then you can find me using that name.
Lately my game of choice has been Team Fortress 2 on Steam due to the lack of time I have during the week and weekends. Easy game to play for an hour or two and then go about your day without worrying about getting to a save point or what you have to do next in order to get to the next area.
That sums me up in 3 short paragraphs more to me but don’t want to bore people. Well catch me if you can on Steam, Ja Ne.
Status: Cosplayer, gamer, comicbook enthusiast/ collector, public relations, marketing, geek.
Quote: “Jung Sin Il Do Ha Sa Bul Sung” (Essentially meaning) if you can accomplish one thing, you can accomplish anything.
Origin: Call me Goldfish. I love cons, gaming, art, comic books and SUPER love music (going to local shows and such). Pretty much I encompass the entirety of the stereotypical, geeky Seattlite who felt the need for change so I decided to take a leap of faith out of my fishbowl into the Silicon Valley.
I’m passionate and always actively participating in the underground/indie music scene whether it be band management, event coordination or just general support. Constantly emersed in the scene, currently I’ve been doing PR work for a nerdcore rapper named darealwordsound and help run Vanfest, which is a local music festival in Washington. Every so often I enjoy writing my own music and, in the past, was in a band. Like many other bands, we ended up doing some recordings but had decided to go our separate ways and explore other paths within industry. It did not take long for me to find my niche.
It’s hard to decide when exactly I started cosplay because I was always a fanatic about avant garde fashions, but my first con in cosplay was Sakura Con in 2011(?). Overtime, the more cons I went to, the better I got, and the more involved in the culture I became. I guess why I cosplay is reflective on why I do anything and why I began the Fishbowl and my “Poorly Done Cosplay” vlogs on YouTube. Most people do it as an escape or “for fun” but growing up I’ve always had a strong sense of justice and through cosplay I want to be able to bring the hero aspect in my characters to life and bring out the best in people.
Expectations: In the future, I want to continue to dabble in Public Relations within geekdom and music and hopefully be a spokesperson for new and upcoming artists more particularly in the comicbook industry or in gaming. It’s quite unfortunate that everyday I see people tear down themselves or each-other and that very fact drives me. It’s undeniable that I enjoy what I do and interacting with people, especially with those who are growing within their element. I want to be able to provide those tools to help in their success and through KKent, opens a door for me to do so and I feel so honored to be apart of this team. As I continue to cosplay to I want to inspire others to have self-confidence, be dorks and to be themselves; to not be afraid to jump out of their fishbowls as well.
