Kuma’s Review of Aliens: Colonial Marines

vlcsnap-00030

318063_407823299299718_474684546_nWhat would it take for you to go on a suicide mission? Is it about the glory or is it about rescuing your comrades? As a Colonial Marine your mission was to take answer a distress call form Corporal Hicks, however things take a turn for the worst when you realize that there is other things involved on your arrival. I would assume that we are going to bring a huge armada with a special forces team laced with a lot of high tech weaponry or hopefully just whole the whole darn thing up after we find what we are looking. That would be logical, but it would not be a sci-fi horror if we did all that now would it? If you are new to the genre and have not scene any of the movies; shame on you! Either way welcome to my review of Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Kuma’s Review of The Man with the Iron Fist

the-man-with-the-iron-fists

vlcsnap-00016There are times where I wonder about the gifts that I acquired. I have some that are made for creating beauty in things or to nourish the soul. On the other side I have the ability of destruction and mastered the art of giving pain. However when I was young I was told that the easiest thing in life is destruction, but it takes much strength to build something out of peace. What kind of life do you want to live or would you rather balance the two actions out? This is the life of the blacksmith, who has to balance orders from those that seek his gift for salvation and destruction. This is his story where he made many weapons without worrying about what they were going to be used for, just to set his love free. The problem is karma does not analyze, it just decides if you have to pay for your actions. I know some of you would argue that the blacksmith only made the weaponry, but didn’t use it. In the end he is still responsible for the lives his creations have taken and I welcome you all to this review of The Man with the Iron Fist.

As gamers we try to prove to the world how awesome we are by either performing great moves or challenges while playing video games or being the best in the culture through collections. Many of us show our strengths by performing well in ranked matches or showing off my vast collections of all things gaming wise. Hells even I still have certain Sega Genesis games for example the original maximum carnage red cartridge, but there are those that go above and beyond all others. This is why the fine folks at Guinness have been acknowledging these great individuals in the industry as well as the consumer. The find folks at the Guinness World Records were kind of enough to send me their new sixth edition to celebrate the best in interactive entertainment and as I scrolled through the wonders of people’s achievements, the gamer in me could not help but to think, “Dang I know I can beat their score!” So without further delay please enjoy the content!

KKEnt’s Review of Mass Effect: Paragon Lost

Mass_-Effect_Paragon_Lost

Some Spoilers are too be expected so read at your own risk!

I know many of you had a problem with the ending to Mass Effect 3 and Bioware was nice enough to give you a free change to the ending, but that is all done for now. It is time to talk about another story to the Mass Effect series and this is about James Vega. It makes you think what the other crew members of the Normandy were doing while Shepard was pronounced “dead”? I always had Vega on my squad because he was a pretty loco and reliable soldier to have especially when dealing with the Reapers. I was pretty much shocked to hear about a prequel being made starring the famed badass taking a lead role in his first animated movie. Paragon Lost is where you see James fully grow as a fighter and a squad leader which he had to use all his knowledge against a Krogan Blood Pack Merc group trying to take over a colony.

It is now after the holiday’s ad we are coming close to the end of the year. I received a few gifts this year since I was such a “good” bear and one of them was Need for Speed: Most Wanted the 2012 version which was made by Criterion who brought us the Burnout Series. I was skeptical at first because it had nothing of the original elements that many of us enjoyed and of course none of the customization that I loved so much from the 2005 title. They even took away the ability of shutting down squad cars. Did this title with the same name actually make an improvement from the 2005 version? Keep reading to find out!

Kuma’s Review of Tekken Tag Tournament 2

There are a few things I didn’t mention in the video and wanted to share here in text because I didn’t want to make the video too long. If there was anything that made me feel weird was some of the voice animation, particularly Bryan Fury’s voice. It seemed to lose its menacing toughness from the previous games, but I can let that slide. There was only two hiccups so far on the online feature, but as we all know everyone has different net types and it causes some problems. I played for three hours online with only two, which is better than most online fighters. I noticed that there is a practice feature before entering a match. Basically you can test out your buttons and mess around with a computer dummy before fighting your online opponent. That feature needs to be in most fighters, but you have the option of turning it off.

I was actually impressed that Sony really stepped up their game with this title exclusive to PlayStation Home. The thing about this nice Free to Play gem is the fact that you can’t expect too much of it and you get to use your avatar in Home to battle it out. The items are the factor to get a bit pissed about because one armor set is at fifty bucks and the rest of the items if you are interested in buying everything at once will be at the regular price of a video game. In the end I can’t really give this a buy or a pass because it is in Home and you can try it out if you want, but after playing against people with the armor and especially having a teammate with that special gold armor that cost $50 and he was killed by a dude with just a pistol and no armor. That alone raises an eye brow on that purchase. I know you really want my verdict and frankly I am at, “meh”, but if you want a score which I rarely do, I would give it 3 out of 5 at best. I have added some screen shots below and I hope you enjoyed this review of No Man’s Land, stay frosty gamers!
