KKEnt Special of our Favorite Easter Eggs in Gaming

Ah, lovely spring time is in the air finally. The birds, the glitches and the Easter Eggs, because as gamers we are all about finding those special things in our games that makes up gitty. Since it is that Holiday weekend, why not talk about some of our favorite Easter Eggs in gaming? Let’s get right into it.

Start things off by Thanking Joseph for sharing his favorite Easter Eggs.

10. X-men Origins: Wolverine Frostmourne from World of Warcraft

Fighting the Windago is one thing, but when you head passed all that killing and head into this particular cave you can see the Lichkings sword frozen with a quest marker attached. The only problem I had with this Easter Egg is that I could not use the damn sword. I am all about swords, but this was pretty damn cool since this is an Activison game and Activision owns Blizzard it was pretty cool to see that crossover.

9. Borderlands 2 Mincraft Easter Egg.

Borderlands series has been a fun ride with great co-op and hilarious game moments, but Borderlands 2 gave us more interaction and customization. But in a certain area that looks like a page out of minecraft, you can melee through to find a hidden cave full of those exploding Creeper bastards. In there you will find the Head custom for your collection as you can see above.

8. Megaman X Unlocking the Hadoken

So, if you really die hard at obtaining cool things this would be the Easter Egg for you and if you obtain the Hadouken for Megaman it does work the same way as in the games. But damn do you have to work for that weapon and you can see it here thanks to youtuber MathDUX

7. Precursor Egg Easter Egg in Uncharted

Naughtydog is an amazing company that gave us many great platform titles, especially one of my favorites Jak and Daxter. Now when I was playing Uncharted 3 and many of you know you have to do treasure hunts throughout the game, there was one particular treasure that made me go, “Oh SNAP!” Found a Jak and Daxter Easter Egg by obtaining a precursor orb. That blew my freaking mind.

6. Megalodon in Battlefield 4

This one came from BLaZeD_MaNiAc who put me on this little Easter Egg that freaked me the hell out. It takes twenty people either friendly or enemies to make this thing come out. Now if the shark does show up; move the hell out of the way quickly or you will experience insta-death. Check out her video below.

5. Halo 4 Voice acting by Conan O’Brian and Andy Richter

Two of the marines were voices by Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter. They can be found in Mission 6 having a conversation. This is freaking hilarious and I love it when you find out certain stars put a bit of flare to a game.

4. he Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past – Chris Houlihan Room

I will throw my hands up that I am not a Legend of Zelda fan, but I know a lot of my friends and many of you readers out there are. So coming from Joseph, “Nintendo Power had a contest where a winner got to show up in a game, there is a long story, but it ended up giving him a secret room in Link to the Past. To get to this room just follow a special screen running sequence that messes with room loads.” That is quite cool and my cousin who read Nintendo power religiously might have known about this tid bit.

3. Metal Gear Solid: Mantis Reads your Memory Card

I hated this fight with a passion because it was so creepy and Hideo Kojima was a freaking genius. If you were too young for this game, what happened was that when you fought Mantis you had to switch your controller to the player two slot or he will read your mind or something like that. The fight would have been difficult, but the added kicker was that if you had any Konami saves, Mantis will read them off and that scared me a bit.

2. Grand Theft Auto 5: The Ghost Of Mount Gordo

GTA_5_Mount_Gordo_Ghost

That Creepy moment in GTA V where you stumble on a horror story? WTF is going on here? You can only find this ghost between the hours of 23:00 and 00:00 at the top of Mount Gordo. The best part about this Easter Egg now is that you can view it in First Person to get a better look at Jolene Cranley’s Ghost. Super Freaky.

And our number one choice of Easter Eggs in gaming goes out to!

1. Halo Reach: Master Chief Escaping.

maxresdefault (4)

This Easter Egg to me was one of the best in the series especially since this was a sad ending game. However in the video below as they said through the last portion of the game where you are clearing out the enemies. If you hold the stick to the right, you will get a glimpse in the ship of a sleeping Master Chief ready to start off Halo video game. That was some nostalgia right there.

Special shout out to all my gamer friends that helped make this list possible and I hope everyone has a great Easter. If you have a favorite Easter Egg in gaming, please feel free to share it with us. The weather is getting nicer out and I hope to have more gaming meet ups with you all soon. Stay frosty!
