Com-Mix Strip Review: Son of Batman

We all want to leave behind a legacy and many seek out some form of immortality, but the best way to be immortal is through your own bloodline. Ra's Al Ghul has been looking for the right leader for his league of Assassins, but the Batman or as Ra's says, "The Detective" kept on declining. However, the charms of Talia Al Ghul were hard to pass by, especially when she drugs the Batman into a night of passion. This is the story of the Dark Knight taking up a new challenge into fatherhood as he takes Damien Al Ghul Wayne under his wing in hopes to teach him the ways of being a hero, instead of just an executioner. Com-Mix Strip presents Son of Batman review. (more…)...

I mean Robbie gets killed, burned and left for dead, but instead becomes the new Ghost Rider. Lets find out how that came about.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Review

You know, being a kid raised in Brooklyn has its ups and downs, because not a lot of heroes to look up to for some of us. I mean depending on the area of Brooklyn you will have to grow up tough and at times know how to take a punch. I was raised in East NY Brooklyn and that is about as tough as you can get unless you were brought up in Brownsville, which I was as well. In any case you have a kid like Steve Rogers who was gifted with the right stuff of a good heart and stand up to any adversary no matter what, maybe that’s why he was picked for the super soldier project to become Captain America. Even through all his battles, it seems there is one...

Manga Monday On Kill La Kill Finale

It has come to an end, it was an amazing ride, but the Kill La Kill finale has graced us with an interesting ending. I was a bit taken back from the beginning with the whole idea of the series, especially what the flying f**k I was truly watching. In that I took my time and gave it my attention, but lets get into this finale and see how it stacked out. (more…)...

Infamous Second Son Review

You know what they say about family and how, "when all else fails, that’s who you depend on." How accurate is that when loses their humanity and is deemed a bio-terrorist. Can you honestly say that you will still have the same nobility after that change? Here you have the delinquent or rebel Delsin Rowe, who makes his own rules as he goes. Kuma’s Review of Divergent Movie

I would assume that many parents worry about what kind of person their children will become, even though they try to raise us a certain way. In the end it comes down to what we pick up to shape our personalities as we interact more with the world. This comes to pass in a world that is sectioned off by five factions and depending on your personality will you end up as etiher Abnegation (selfless), Amity (kind), Candor (honest), Erudite (intelligent) and Dauntless (brave). I see myself as Dauntless at first, but how I am in this world I would defect, because I am not one to follow rules very well and I can't stand authority, which we are introduced to Beatrice who is born Abnegation, but has a passion for something greater. What will...

Review of Need For Speed The Movie

I am not going to lie, the first thing that comes to any gamers mind when they hear, "We are going to make a video game movie!" from Hollywood is us screaming in agony because that is a taboo thing to do. It is rare and when I mean "rare", like seeing big foot buying a New Yorker and then heading to Starbucks for a morning Frap kind of rare situation when Hollywood does a video game movie justice. This St. Patrick’s Day weekend; movie goers were given the chance to see Need for Speed, which is based on one of the most popular arcade racing games. I have been an NFS veteran for years, but it really shined when NFS: Underground came out giving us not only a great racing title, but one with a great street racing...

Com-Mix Strip Review of TMNT Issues 6-10

What is going on Comic book fans and welcome to week 2 of my adventure through the sewers reviewing IDW Publishing's TMNT series from 2011 still going on today. I stated before being a huge turtle fan and how it took me out of the normal look of super-heroes in the mutant variety. It was a story unique for its time and still going on strong even though they did have their hit and misses with some of the adaptations, but they still kept us fans. Let us get right into this.
