The one thing I enjoy about being a PlayStation Plus member are the perks and in this case getting an e-mail to a private beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. I played for 13 minutes just to compare with certain brawlers out there since the first was made by Nintendo of course and then later Nickelodeon came out with their versions. If you have been in the gaming world as long as I have; you would know that once something is popular others will give it a shot. I stuck to the characters I knew and of course there were clones on the game last night with having to fight two Kratos, but I am not surprised at all. There is only one thing that was off in the game and that knowing who is winning, because there is no health meter or number indicator showing how many kills you have. In playing I didn’t mind it at all actually because at the end the results are kind of like a drawing where you hope that you won, however each character does not look like the victor at all. In an example where you see I won the fight with sly cooper and got 1st place, but he had his head down. It might be the other titles talking, but I did expect some victory dance or being pleased at least. The bottom line is the game is fun, but kind of one sided with certain characters and they will need to balance it out for the fans. I mean to be honest the best player is Sly Cooper since he has the Blanka style moves, as well as an electric slide trap for whomever chases him. The supers if done right as a tip you should wait to use which will give you an instant kill and I usually wait until I am at level two to use the special.
In the end it is fun and when you get online the battles are random and so far no voice support.
