I was a very young cub back in 1995 when I bugged my parents for a Sega Saturn and of course that Christmas season came out when Nights into Dreams special edition was announced with that prototype black dreamcast controller. Do you remember that? I have some fond memories playing that title and of course finding out that it is being remade in HD to come out as a digital download this fall for Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network Store and Windows…I just flipped out. The Saturn to me was a great system, I do not care what you have to say I definitely enjoyed many of the titles including Nights. I just remember it kind of being a new spin towards the Peter Pan in the way two kids get sucked into a dream world flying around and turning into Night himself, just battling nightmares. It was a beautiful artistic video game with interesting puzzles and epic boss fights. I can’t believe it was released 16 years ago…time sure does fly.

“The SEGA Saturn offered many unique gaming experiences, and NiGHTS into dreams… stands out as one of the most recognizable titles that found a home on the system,” said Chris Olson, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA. “We’ve gotten a lot of requests about this game over the years, and are very happy to be able to give both former Saturn owners and new players a chance to play it in its most beautiful form to date this fall.”

In addition the game will feature the “Saturn Mode” which will give you the classic original game-play experience without the HD graphics…that will only cater to those of us that experienced it that way. I do hope you check out this title, especially for you younger gamers that never experienced that title before. I am very pleased that a lot of titles are getting revamped or remixed and I have hopes for a particular title in mind, stay frosty gamers.
